White Ash

so named because of clear underside of leaves.
Origin : wetlands of North America, introduced into Europe in 1723.
Height: 15 m in Europe, 30 m in its original area.
Species possibly dioecious (male and female flowers on distinct feet).
Leaves composed of 5 - 9 leaflets (like Flowering Ash) but somewhat broader; they have shades yellow to purple in autumn.
