Ptelea or Hoptree, Ptelea trifoliata

tree of the family Rutaceae
(Sour Orange, Lemon tree, Eucommia, Korean Evodia, Orange tree, Amur Corktree, Ptelea, Zanthoxylum).

Origin: United States of America, Mexico.
Height: 7-8 m tall.
Lifespan: 100 years.
Leaves alternate, trifoliate, endowed with a long petiole. They exude a fragrance when they are crumpled like other Rutaceae.
Fruit: round samara of 2 cm in diameter which reminds that of the elm.
