Particular foliages
Some species and varieties have a particular color of foliage, which is more a criterion for choosing an original tree, than an index of recognition (for uncommon trees).
- AUTUMN FOLIAGE
- The coloration of the foliage in autumn is a complex physiological phenomenon. A mild and rainy autumn reduces the range of bright colors, indeed the lack of sunlight and cool nights (remember the fall in the Nordic countries, Canada), reduced sugar production, a key factor in the coloration (a phenomenon similar to fruit).
