Peruvian Pepper tree, soft Shinus

tree of the family Anacardiaceae
(Cotinus, Peruvian Pepper tree, Mango tree, Pistachio, Sumac)

Etymology: the Latin "Schinos", mastic producing a juice similar to its resin, and mollis, "hairy".
Origin : South America.
Habitat: the Peruvian Pepper tree fears cold. It develops well in the South of France.
Height: 12 m tall.
Multipinnate leaves, fine leaflets. Stems falling again towards the soil.

Fruits: red drupes peppery taste.
